Root Cause is the one for people who think kombucha should actually taste of something. Fermented on a black tea blend with a proper, generous hit of fresh root ginger, not a whisper of it, an actual punch. Small batch, live, unfiltered, and the closest thing in the Gut Feeling range to what I'd reach for myself on a Friday night.

This isn't ginger as an afterthought. It's the whole point of the bottle.

What's actually in it

Filtered water, cane sugar, tea mix, kombucha cultures, ginger juice. Fresh root ginger, a black tea base, a live SCOBY doing its thing, and nothing artificial anywhere near it. That's the entire ingredients list, no extract percentages needed here, just real ginger.

500ml, not 330ml, on purpose

Every other kombucha in the shop is 330ml. This range is 500ml because if you're drinking it for gut health, you're looking at roughly 150ml a day, which makes one bottle last about three days. That's a routine, not a random purchase.

It's also properly good as a stand-in for a bottle of wine. The ginger heat and the tang from the fermentation give it enough backbone to hold its own with dinner, pour it into a wine glass and nobody's going to ask why you're not drinking.

The proper stuff

Unpasteurised kombucha, fermented on a black tea blend with a generous hit of fresh root ginger. Cloudy, live and short dated. The murky bits mean you no harm. Serve ice cold. A healthy gut starts with feeding it the right things first. Live. Unfiltered. Banging.
